Frequently Asked Questions
All Norwegian companies are required to file an annual corporate income tax return, even if the company is not in business. The Norwegian income tax rate is 22%. Norwegian companies are required to file their financial statements within five months of the end of their fiscal year (generally January 1 to December 31) or, if your company's fiscal year does not coincide with the calendar year, within three months of the end of that fiscal year.
TKEG Expat will apply for a VAT number for the client after the company has been registered, which usually takes one to two working weeks. The Norwegian VAT rate is 25% and the filing cycle can be bi-monthly or annually.
